The price of a survey depends on its scope (pre-purchase is more involved than insurance, for instance) and the size and location of the boat. As a rule of thumb, pre-purchase surveys are charged at £15 per foot of boat length if it's a GRP sailing yacht or simple power boat under 40ft/12.2m.
